The KCI First Step Select™ Mattress Replacement System provides pressure redistribution to patients through an advanced pressure feedback system. Low air loss therapy and GORE® Medical Fabric work together to help address moisture management and skin microclimate.
The First Step Select Mattress Replacement System can be used as an overlay or a mattress replacement system.
Low Air Loss Therapeutic Support Systems are indicated for:
- Prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers
- Treatment of Stage I and II pressure ulcers in patients at risk for additional skin breakdown
- Treatment of Stage III and IV pressure ulcers in patients not at risk for additional skin breakdown
- Pain management
Low Air Loss Therapeutic Support Systems Contraindications include:
- Unstable cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar fracture
- Cervical traction
